Finger Lakes Historical Press
Project Objective
Reprinting historical documents was the essence of this small business. When the need arose for this business to establish a brand, designing an old printing press seemed like the perfect fit.
Our Process and Creative Approach
With a clear vision for this brands identity, integrating a piece of history was finding the right type of printing press to represent. Once an image was chosen, designing this graphic and getting the shape, mechanisms, and details like the hand crank accurate was essential. The logo was created with bold, thick heavy lines to emphasize its weight, and the font was chosen because historically it would have printed on this press. The tagline, Reprinting History, was added to the logo to further define the business’s core objective.
The Result
Providing a presence in the publishing world in the art of reproducing historical documents, established this business in its craft.
